Finding (and Getting) your DREAM home!

Buying a Home is always a headache, especially for a first timer. I remember my first time (who ever forgets their first time?!), after weeks of shopping for a house. Here in Malaysia, information on finding, buying, financing, and having a house is difficult to find. Of course, there are information here and there, but you need a checklist to find all you need to know.
Just where do you find information on:
- Finding the right location and housing developer
- Finding the right house
- Initiating the purchase of the house (who do you talk to?)
- Finding information on home financing packages from Banks
- Finding a law firm to help you draw up to Purchase Agreement
- Finding a property valuer that can give you value for your money
- Getting your loan application approved (ever heard of Credit History?)
- What to do after your application is approved (what next?)
- Getting your cash (as well as the Bank’s money) to the developers
- Getting the keys to your home.
Coming from the banking world, there are many questions I hear from prospective customers. I will try to list down as many solutions to the various queries I have received over the past few years.
